BTNH Worldwide is the home for Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and affiliates such as Mo Thugs artist, Mo Thugs West artist and The Life Ent. Composed of Krayzie Bone, Flesh-N-Bone, Layzie Bone, Bizzy Bone and Wish Bone, BTNH Worldwide was created because of freedom of album concept not being handled adequately by previous record labels such as Ruthless Records and Interscope Records. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is still active in the entertainment business as of 2021.BTNH Worldwide is an independent record label started by hip hop group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. Despite the fight, the show continued, with both groups performing the leading songs of their respective careers. During the show a fight occurred between Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Bizzy Bone and Three Six Mafia member Jordan Michael “Juicy J” Houston after insults were thrown at each other. Ironically, nearly three decades after the rap feud with Three Six Mafia began, they made a joint appearance on the webcast series Verzuz on December 2, 2021. Adding to the controversy, there have been conflicts within the group as members have left Bone Thugs-N-Harmony during different periods. Despite its musical success, the group has been involved in several controversies including rap feuds with Three Six Mafia, Carl Terell “Twista” Mitchell, Tommy Wright III, and Crucial Conflict during the 1990s. Over the next two decades Bone Thugs-N-Harmony would release other studio albums, including Thug World Order (2002), Thug Stories (2006), Strength and Loyalty (2007), Uni5: The World’s Enemy (2010), The Art of War: World War III (2013), and New Waves (2017). Tragically, while the group was working on their second studio album for Ruthless Records, Eazy-E died from complications of AIDS on March 26, 1995. In 1994 the group released their debut Extended Play (E.P.) album Creepin on ah Come Up which featured the singles, “Thuggish Ruggish Bone” and “Foe Tha Love of $.” This would be their first album to sell over four million units and be certified multiplatinum. Huang kicked off his keynote on a note of gratitude. Original plans for the keynote to be delivered live at NVIDIA’s GPU Technology Conference in late March in San Jose were upended by the coronavirus pandemic. In a keynote delivered in nine simultaneously released episodes recorded from the kitchen of his California home, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang discussed NVIDIA’s recent Mellanox acquisition, new products based on the company’s much-awaited NVIDIA Ampere GPU architecture and important new software technologies. NVIDIA today set out a vision for the next generation of computing that shifts the focus of the global information economy from servers to a new class of powerful, flexible data centers. The Archive doesn’t have an iOS companion app, which means I need a workaround if I want to access my Zettelkasten notes when I’m away from my desk. Using Writer means I can read and edit my Zettelkasten notes anywhere Like my Zettelkasten app The Archive, Writer just creates a simple plain text file, and there are many circumstances when that’s all I want. While Ulysses handles text files, and these can also be indexed by Spotlight or Alfred, they are nonetheless within a proprietary format. These can be found quickly and easily using Alfred or Spotlight, and viewed in TextEdit for reference. One is for producing relatively short documents that I just want to keep in a plain text file. Having used this app on and off over the years, I’ve discovered Writer works for me for quite specific purposes. Other apps claim to offer similar features, but none does so quite as well as Writer. For me, iA Writer has two attributes that set it apart: simplicity and plain text purity. There are many choices, and the various apps have their own specialisms, features, pros and cons. For fiction writing we might use Scrivener for blogging iA Writer or Ulysses. These days text editors are as numerous and varied as the purposes for which they are used. And with a lack of money, and with only a few possibilities with not too many options.ĭespite my love of analogue processes and a certain Luddite resistance to digital tools and “frictionless workflows” - we all know a little bit of friction is a good thing - the move to electronic writing was inevitable and irresistible. And the artist’s output can be fed by limitations.Ĭreativity sometimes starts with a deadline. And trust me, I was very serious.īut perhaps like the shift of music media from vinyl to CDs, then to digital formats, what many of us were gaining in convenience was offset by lost opportunities to explore paths on the creative journey. It was just the thing to do for anyone serious about their writing. Every professional writer worth her salt was going electronic. When I first started writing as an adult back in the early 1990s, I first used a typewriter, then moved to Word Perfect when I bought a PC. IA Writer has two main attributes that set it apart: simplicity, and plain text purity With its simple aesthetics and no-nonsense setup, I immediately felt at home. The developers did away with this several years ago, which I think is a shame, as this added a subtle layer of interest. I also liked the paper-like texture used as a background in the early days. Reader, I’m easily distracted and love typewriters.Ī pure writing app, it lacked customisation options, and had a beautiful monospace font. I was immediately attracted by its typewriter-like interface and lack of distractions. I’ve owned a copy of Writer since its first lunch in 2010. Here’s my experience with Writer from Information Architects, and how I use it now. I’ve mentioned iA Writer in several previous posts, which indicated the app deserves coverage of its own. It appears to me that people complaining about their experiences probably didn’t meet the required standards of any credit agreement, regardless of the card issuer. It’s super simple and an extremely easy, streamlined app. They’ll do an express payment from a debit card (my preferred route) and it’s immediately applied or they’ll do an ACH hold with your bank, just don’t use the amount you’ve set aside to be deducted. They offer 2 ways to pay on the mobile app. Bottom line, pay as little as the minimum due before or on the due date right on the mobile app and there will never be a problem. I also avoid large interest payments by making larger payments than the minimum amount due before the due date and/or paying the balance in full. Hold up your end of the agreement made upon origination and there’ll never be a problem. How is there to be any issue? Simply put, there aren’t issues. They’ll only accept 5 payments in a 1 month period, just fyi. Yes, there is an individual payment limit per month but I prefer to make the payments in the event I’m ever in an emergency situation and need to use the card. At one point, I attempted to pay more individual payments but had reached their payment limits for the month. Oftentimes I’ll pay more than 1 payment at intervals during a single month. They’re available for viewing and redeeming right on the app. There’s a little more work involved to see who offers cash back but it’s worth the few minutes it takes to look. Credit One penalty fees The fee per late payment or returned payment is up to $39.Īlso, cash back purchases most often offset the interest accrued so take advantage of those when one can. Credit One foreign transaction fees Foreign transaction fees are either $1 or 3% of each purchase in U.S. Most banks also charge non-account holders a fee to use their ATMs. Depending on the card you have, cash advance fees are either $5 or 8% of the amount of each cash advance, whichever is greater, or $10 or 3% to 5% of each cash advance, whichever is greater. Credit One ATM withdrawal fees Since Credit One Bank only issues credit cards and doesn’t offer checking or savings accounts, you’re taking out a cash advance when you withdraw cash at an ATM with your Credit One credit card. If your credit score improves, you may qualify for a lower annual cost. After the first year, Credit One bills the annual fee once a year or divides it into 12 equal portions and bills it monthly. Here is video of a piano roll recording of Scott Joplin playing some of his own music. His music became popular again in the 1970s-especially when ‘The Entertainer’ was used in the 1973 film ‘The Sting’.After Scott Joplin died, ragtime music was almost forgotten about as jazz became popular. In the end he died very disappointed with the failure of his operas. Scott Joplin tried very hard to make these operas popular, but didn’t succeed. He also composed two operas as well as some other classical music. And a kind local music teacher taught him for free. His father certainly didn’t want him to learn music. Most Black American children around the time Scott Joplin was born would not have had this chance. It sold over 75,000 copies in the first six months! The piece was named after the Maple Leaf Club where Scott Joplin used to play the piano. He became famous with his piece ‘Maple Leaf Rag’.This is quite different from jazz, where it is normal for the musicians to make up some of the music as they play. They are pieces to be played as written on the piano. Like classical music, Scott Joplin’s rags are written down exactly.Put simply, Scott Joplin has had a very big influence on jazz and popular music over the last 100 years. It also set the scene for American popular music over the last century. This made people ready to hear and write the jazz that came afterwards. It is not quite jazz, but is certainly where a lot of the ideas for jazz came from.) (Ragtime is a mixture of Black American folk music and classical music. In fact he is often called the ‘King of Ragtime’. He was the greatest composer of ‘ragtime’.The player piano then reads the roll and plays itself! ( See below for a picture of a player piano.) Some interesting facts: This paper is fed into a special piano called a player piano. A piano roll is a roll of paper with holes in it. This is recorded from piano rolls-Scott Joplin did not actually make any recordings. Saint Michaels Cemetery, East Elmhurst, Queens County, New York, USA. 1st April 1917 in New York, New York, USA. If you only come here to work and not having any friends at all I believe that you will not enjoy working here. You will need to figure out ways to find the fun here. Office politics are not heavily influenced by the culture. However, your growth here strictly depends on your performance. Most questions that customers would ask are regarding their Hong Leong Connect. You will roughly get 60-80 calls per day. The calls could be quite exhausting at times, especially during peak hours, customers facing difficulties with their online banking applications but nothing severe on daily basis. The job itself will be very repetitive at one point and you will get bored along the way. Cheap food, however the parking spot will be quite far from the office. Eventually, you will get to the point where you will no longer feel like working, as in you will feel comfortable here. It took me a month to adapt as it could be very challenging for you at first. The challenges that you will face here initially are difficult to understand especially when it comes to the fundamental concept of banking, operations and communication skills with costumers. You will make friends here, but definitely it will take some time for you. You will meet plenty of people here that will be around your age. To be frank, this comes from the very bottom of my heart. I believe that my experience at Hong Leong Bank ( Call Centre Executive ) at PJ City was full of excitement. These moments are never too challenging to be major obstacles, but still test a player's skill and intuition. The developers also did a fantastic job of keeping players involved in the plot with various puzzles that generally fit the mood and theme of the story. The presentation, from the grim but gorgeous visuals to the haunting sound design, grabs the player and doesn't let go. It's engaging horror on a psychological level. While Observer: System Redux is definitely not for kids and it's filled with dark and disturbing themes, it's still a fantastic experience. Add to this the often grisly crime scenes that players must investigate throughout the course of the story, and it's more than enough to give some folks a case of insomnia. It's unsettling to say the least, but more so when seeing how these people lived (and died) through their own eyes. Although players are technically the hero of the story, there's not much to feel heroic about, especially when they jack into unwilling participants or even corpses in order to invade their most private memories. Most find some sort of escape or self-destruction in the form of drugs, holograms, or other illicit activities. It's a place where the lower class are dumped like garbage into slums with no hope of a better life. This bleak setting starts off disturbing and gets darker as the story unfolds. If you're looking for a future full of bright colors and happy endings, this isn't the game you're looking for.Observer: System Redux is an updated remake that presents a dark and gritty take on the future. |
